The changes should normally be communicated to us by your employer, but it is your responsibility to discuss them with them to ensure that we are informed of changes to your training contract. If in doubt, talk to your qualified training professional (QPRT). The training agreement is an important part of the ACA`s training, as it ensures that all ACA students achieve the highest quality and the highest level of training possible. Make sure your training file is up to date and that all entries have been confirmed by your employer before they terminate the training contract. Please note that your practical work experience must be recorded until the end of the training contract. Take every opportunity to expand your knowledge. This may be related to your profession. Taking the time and taking the trouble to develop at least some of the skills you would have acquired during your first year will pay off. It will speed up your learning and development when you start.
But don`t stop. Learning new skills outside your profession is fulfilling and good for your well-being. There are so many podcasts, ted talks and online webinars to explore. Perhaps you would also like to explore formally accredited training. Coding, project management, advanced Excel – think about what could be useful in your future career. Take advantage of this time to make yourself even more marketable. This may have slowed down the start of your career, but that doesn`t mean you can`t catch up. Think about how you`re going to answer that question when you finally start your training contract “So what have you accomplished in the last 12 months?” You want the answer to your answer to be “Wow” and not “Oh.” It`s easy to get sedentary habits without the structure and routine of a job and pay attention to the negative effects this can have on your fitness, energy level and lifestyle. Staying active is essential for your mental and physical well-being. Whether joe Wicks in the living room, bike or a good walk, you`ll find a form of movement that suits you.
Set goals, z.B. `Divan to 5K`, 10,000 steps a day, 150 minutes of physical exercise per week, etc. You may want to earn paid or voluntary work while you wait for your training contract to begin. This can now add accomplishment to your life and could be superb on your resume.
